Daytime Justice (infotainment)

Roger is a delight! He was a cruise director and became a warm-up comic for some of sitcoms most memorable TV shows. He's currently the warm-up on Will & Grace and was the original warm-up on the show in its first run. He also runs a bulldog rescue. He's a 20 year veteran of this business and has the energy of a 20-year-old. You're gonna love him!

Alex Hooper is a great stand up comic and a beyond great roast battle comic. You definitely know him from the show. I thought it would be cool to upload a bonus episode with someone who was on the show after interviewing the guy who created it. You can pre-order his comedy album Hugs. Drugs. Pugs. on iTunes.

Happy Monday! Brian Moses created and hosts Roast Battle on Comedy Central. He also hosts the weekly show at the Comedy Store in the Belly Room. The origin story of this show is really interesting! I think the lesson learned here is happy accidents and coincidental events can turn into opportunities of a lifetime.

Brandie Posey is a stand-up comic, self produced two comedy albums, has a podcast with her friend Barbara Gray and Tess Barker called Lady to Lady, and she created a show called Picture This that's performed in L.A., NY, and various comedy festivals around the country. Now it's a pilot for TruTV and hopefully will go to series! Hear how she took something from the stage to television. We can all draw inspiration from Brandie's story!

Cece is a comedian/sketch comedian turned TV writer. She's worked on the reboot of The Arsenio Hall Show, got an Emmy nomination for Bill Nye Saves The World, and has amazing stories about working on Mind of Mencia and The Miss Universe Pageant. This is a super interesting chat, especially the stuff about Miss Universe. She was there right after 45 was inaugurated and the show was broadcast live the same day as the first Women's March. A lot of stuff came up for her that day. It's a great listen!

My friend Taha got his start on the iconic talk show, Sally Jessy Raphael. He's got great stories about working on that show, working on a short-lived talk show for Richard Simmons, Donnie & Marie Osmond, and then transitioning to home renovation shows. He's a super interesting guy and one of my dearest friends! Enjoy!

Michelle is a dear friend and a super talented lady. She's as lovely and compassionate as she is funny, and she's hella funny. We talk about working as a morning show host, stand up, and juggling life while working a strenuous work schedule on-camera. You can buy her debut album, "Shut Up", at Comedy Central Records.

As I watch this election cycle happen and watch Trump act like a lunatic 24/7, it made me think, "Man, I wish famous people who are tapped to star in reality shows had to pass background and mental health before they were given a show."

I let you in on all of the background and mental health screenings all reality show contestants and cast members have to go through before we can put them on TV. We want them to be crazy, just not TOO crazy. It's a fine line. I also discuss something horrif that happened to me while dealing with a potential contestant on a FOX reality show. To quote Trump, "It was a disaster."

In this episode, I break down what these transcripts are, how they came to be, and what the responsibility of production companies have when it comes to releasing B-roll, unused footage & audio, and transcripts in a story this explosive. It's so bizarre how the election has turned into a reality show itself.

Ok, couple of things. First, where did that clip come from? Yes, we know it was in the "Access Hollywood" archives but it's very, very difficult to pull up 11 year old media. At least it has been in my experience. How did this happen? And how will TV execs respond to this tape? I discuss how we, as producers, are expected to treat and TOLERATE talent. Also, what is our ethical obligation to stop behavior like Billy Bush's and Donald Trump's when we see it?
